The Paladin is a tank class that can cast divine direct damage magic as well as holy spells to heal their group members and themselves. The Paladin has access to a lot of protective magic (buffs) and can oftentimes survive battles that a regular tank could not due to his healing abilities such as Lay of Hands.

The Necromancer can control a variety of minions at his disposal depending on what situation he is faced against. The Necromancer can also stand back and release an astonishing amount of damage over time spells on it's foe. They specialize in dark magic and at later levels can lifetap and fear their opponents as they please.

The Mystic is a shaman of spiritual preservation and enlightenment. Mystics are known for their powerful warding spells that protect allies from harm. The Mystic can enhance the party's attributes and provide magical protection in combat while inflicting debilitating weakness upon the enemy.

The Monk. They are mostly melee damage. However, the monk is very capable of tanking in a bad situation. They have taunting abilities, as well as heals.

Usually the main component of a traditional group the Inquisitor is really an evil Cleric; it's healing matched by no other class in the game. They have some of the best defensive buffs, ability to revive fallen allies, and the ability to cure disease and poisons.
