Description
The Fury. The fury is a capable class for nearly any situation. With their powerful heals they can take care of their party, and with their powerful damage over time spells they can hold their own ground.
Compared to a Warden (the other flavor of druid) the fury's heals are not quite as good. Don't let that discourage you though. The fury is very capable of healing in most situations.
The fury seems to have no direct damage spells, at least none at the lower levels. The fury relies almost completely on Damage over Time spells (DoTs), and damage shields (DS) to mow down their enemies.
The fury also has a compliment of other buffs. Including and not limited to: Group (AE) Regeneration, Damage Shields, Wisdom and Power Increase, Ressurection and Runspeed buffs.
Solo-Play
The fury is quite adept as solo play. With their rather impressive regeneration spells, and damage shields; they can nearly power level themselves.
With DoTs and heroic opportunities (HO), the fury can decimate enemies of virtually any type. I open with “Weakness” a level 7 spell that cripples the enemy. The proceed to Divine Providence (HO opener), after the HO is engaged, I proceed to using Squall, then stinging insects.
This can usually take down quite a bit of HP on lower level targets.
On harder targets (perhaps named) I choose to root the target first, then proceed to the previous combination of spells.
I rarely use the Elixir (Big Heal) line of spells on myself, as that as not mana efficient. I rely almost completely on the Salve (Small Heal) line of spells to sustain me during the fight.
Group-Play
Fury's are as good at grouping as they are at soloing.
Using big heals on tanks, and small heals on everyone else; the fury can keep going for quite a while.
Also making use of your DoTs and HO helps to kill things quite a bit faster.
Top it all off with a combination of impressive group buffs, and you can carry your group through just about any situation.
Summary
When it really comes down to it. The fury is one of the more simplistic classes in the game. Sometimes simple is just better.
Don't be a dumby, and play the game to have fun. If you start feeling burned out, take a break for a day or 2.
Don't play Everquest2 so much that it becomes and addiction, your friends and family will end up getting worried.
